Silveree Sumling is a native of Detroit, MI but currently resides in Atlanta, GA.  

She is a mother, wife, educator, show producer, and aspiring author.  She possesses a double Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Marketing.  In addition, to her undergraduate studies, she holds a Master of Arts degree in Speech Communication and a Master of Science in Education Media Design and Technology.  Not only does Silveree believe in receiving quality education, but also sharing and spreading knowledge.  She has been a college professor for 10 years teaching communication courses and conducts seminars/workshops on various communication topics.

Silveree has over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She is a former rap artist and produces an annual award show, YGEA Awards, which promotes positive entertainment and arts.  She is passionate about her family, faith, entertainment, and education and is determined to transform her talent of lyricism into something that can be educationally beneficial for generations to come.  Of her many endeavors, she is currently writing a college textbook entitled, Hip-Hop Communication, which uses fundamentals of hip-hop to explain communication concepts and principles and demonstrate communicative techniques.  Her motto for using hip-hop as an instructional tool is “Educating a Generation through Hip-Hop Communication”.  She firmly believes that in order to effectively impart information to increase literacy across disciplines among youths and young adults, educators have to be relevant, respected, innovative, and engaging.  This philosophy is what sparked the fire for beginning the process of writing one of her many books to come.  Silveree Sumling can be reach at 678-266-0727 or via email at This email address is being protected from spambots.
